Guest Speaker Information:

John Costello is the co-founder and CTO of Irish start up company Careergro. John is an electronic Engineer who spent 10+ years in product development, managing technical teams and managing innovation.

In late 2009 the multinational company that John worked for pulled out of Ireland and provided career management services to staff. John thought that it would have been good to have those career services during the good times and not just when the company was closing.

Faced with redundancy, John created the start up company Careergro to help individuals with ongoing career development issues. Developed from the perspective of individual employees the product is different to traditional top down approaches to career development.

Careergro has initial corporate clients in Ireland, Netherlands and Romania. Careergro will launch in the UK at the CIPD HR conference and open a London office. Careergro are an Entreprise Ireland high potential start up company.  For further information you may visit their website on
