This event will intorduce professionals to the research and applications of Neurofeedback Training (NFT) and quantitative EEG in the assessment and treatment of psychological disorders. The PSI will award 3 CPD credits for this event.

This workshop will comprise:

  • Lecture-style information on the background and science of NFT and QEEG;
  • Case-based discussions, using cases from the Actualise Clinic;
  • Demonstration of NFT in action, and details of how it works to help clients learn to control aspects of brain function.

Neurofeedback training (NFT) is a neuroscience-based method of changing brain function, based on the principles of EEG and operant conditioning. To the extent the symptoms of a psychological disorder can be linked to problematic brain function, NFT has been shown to be an effective intervention. NFT is becoming increasingly popular in a range of clinical settings, with evidence for efficacy in a range of disorders, including ADD/ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, executive function disorders, and others.
